“Me and My Amazing Body” did a great job of showing the layers in the human body and how they all connected。 The illustrations and analogies were wonderful。 My favorite part was the fun facts in the back of the book。 Super interesting!

This is a wonderful book to introduce children to their bodies。Great illustrations, good, solid facts that are not overkill。 Easy to understand but does not talk down to the child。Really enjoyed it。

This is a very good introductory book to the body! My only quibble is that the way it's laid out, the large photo detailing the organs is putting all the internal organs (stomach, kidneys) on the binding so they're not really clear。Oz enjoyed it and liked learning about bones and skin。 He would recommend this book。 This is a very good introductory book to the body! This book goes through the different body parts and fucntions starting from the outside working in。 This book highlights important parts such as skin, bones, muscles, brain, blood, heart, lungs and stomach and simple functions of each。 It gives great pictures and easy examples for younger kids to easily understand the basic functions。 I liked how at the very end, it had body facts with comparsions, for example, "Your stomach digests about 2,190 quarts of food each year。 That's about 8,760 bowls This book goes through the different body parts and fucntions starting from the outside working in。 This book highlights important parts such as skin, bones, muscles, brain, blood, heart, lungs and stomach and simple functions of each。 It gives great pictures and easy examples for younger kids to easily understand the basic functions。 I liked how at the very end, it had body facts with comparsions, for example, "Your stomach digests about 2,190 quarts of food each year。 That's about 8,760 bowls of spagetti"。 I feel like those types of facts are what kids will find inteeresting and remember。 。。。more

In one of the four ME concepts books by Sweeney, the main character explores different biological systems in his body。 Illustrations are drawn in a cut away style reveal body parts that lie underneath the skin。 Different systems are discussed separately and illustrations have body parts labeled with technical vocabulary。 Like the other books, the information is presented with limited narrative text and bold graphic illustration making it easily accessible to young readers。

With updated illustrations, this book describes the wonders of the human body--and it really is wonderful and amazing。 The blurb in the front says that a girl discovers how her body works, but in my version, it's a boy, judging from the clothing and body parts on display。 The author makes sure to cover everything from the outside in, discussing the skin, the muscles, and the skeleton as well as the respiratory system and digestive system。 The colorful illustrations add to the appeal of this simp With updated illustrations, this book describes the wonders of the human body--and it really is wonderful and amazing。 The blurb in the front says that a girl discovers how her body works, but in my version, it's a boy, judging from the clothing and body parts on display。 The author makes sure to cover everything from the outside in, discussing the skin, the muscles, and the skeleton as well as the respiratory system and digestive system。 The colorful illustrations add to the appeal of this simple but engaging introduction to the body。 It's easy to follow the text and images, making this book useful for an elementary science classroom。 。。。more

This book explains basic anatomy in a fun and developmentally appropriate way。 It includes a discussion of internal organs, bones, and the circulatory system。 The illustrations help make the abstract ideas more concrete, although some teacher adaptation might be needed for children with special needs or children with certain fears, as the illustrations are drawn bisections of the human body, which some children may find frightening or confusing。 Topic: Science: anatomy, Self-skills/awareness

A beginning book that explains the human body in clear and interesting terms。 I liked this one and enjoyed the little message at the end that expressed how unique everyone is too。 That's a real nice touch。 Recommended if you're looking for something to teach your little one a little more about themselves。 A beginning book that explains the human body in clear and interesting terms。 I liked this one and enjoyed the little message at the end that expressed how unique everyone is too。 That's a real nice touch。 Recommended if you're looking for something to teach your little one a little more about themselves。 。。。more

My almost 3-yr-old was extremely concerned because the girl fell down and cut her knee and needed a band-aid, pronto。 Fortunately the next page showed a band-aid on her knee but he had to continue to talk about it for the rest of the book。An excellent introduction for pre-k through first grade。 Non-threatening with just enough information。 。。。more
